Common Questions

QHow do I view the newsletter?
Members can view our latest newsletter and previous newsletters in the members area.
QI forgot my password. How do I reset it?
You can reset your password by going to the login page and clicking “Lost Password.” You’ll receive an email with a link to change your password.
QWhen one of TSPKey's strategies changes allocation, is this for interfund transfers (IFTs), contribution allocations, or both?
Our service is primarily for IFTs, but we generally recommend using the same fund breakdown for contribution allocations. The only exception is short-term IFTs (5–10 days), which we have a couple of times each year. When we do, we address this specifically in our emails and members area, and we don’t recommend changing your contribution allocation during those short windows.
QI just joined. Should I make an interfund transfer immediately or wait until your next allocation change?
We can’t give personalized investment advice, but as a general rule we think it’s best to follow our recommendations immediately. Some people hesitate to invest in stocks if there’s already been a strong rally — however, stock market rallies can last much longer than people expect.
QDo you give personalized investment advice?
No. We provide research, market analysis, and allocation recommendations. We’re not registered investment advisors, and we don’t manage individual accounts. Our content is for informational and educational purposes only — final investment decisions are always yours.
QAre you affiliated with the federal government or the TSP?
No. TSPKey is not affiliated with the United States Government, the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board, or the Thrift Savings Plan. Our service is independent and is not sanctioned by any of those entities.
